Hydroponic Nurseries
Hydroponic nurseries are places where plants can be propagated and grown to a usable mature size. There are a few retail hydroponic nurseries which may sell to the general public. Wholesale hydroponic nurseries will sell only to other nurseries and to commercial gardeners, and private ones will sell to institutions or private owners. Some retail and wholesale hydroponic nurseries may also sell by mail. Hydroponic nurseries grow annuals, perennials, and some types of woody plants. There are a variety of uses for these: plants for landscaping and flower gardening, vegetable gardens, and agricultural plants. Hydroponic nurseries often grow plants in a greenhouse type environment, a shelter of glass, designed to protect young plants from harsh weather while at the same time allowing access to light and ventilation. While a hydroponic nursery can be labor-intensive, some processes have been mechanised and automated, others have not. All plants cannot be treated since their nutritional needs and growth rates are different. Therefore plant care requires observation, measurment, and judgement of the plant's needs.
